Former Michigan State Pitcher Playing in Pros

After the Michigan State baseball team's losses in the NCAA regional games, pitcher Tony Wieber was selected in the 33rd round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft.

Wieber decided to forgo his senior year at MSU and sign a contract with the San Diego Padres after a successful career at MSU, becoming the all-time leader in saves.

His girlfriend, Chelsea Griffin, talked about his career at Michigan State, the day he was drafted and more.

Griffin said that Wieber was nervous as they both were watching the draft on the computer.

Wieber is a 2009 Graduate of Grand Ledge High School according to the MSU athletic website.
