The Kings defeated the New Jersey Devils on June 11, 6-1 to clinch the franchise's first Stanley Cup championship.
Chad Guild, owner of First Place Sports in Grand Ledge, said he and Greene have been planning the festivities for the day Greene gets the Stanley cup.
"The tentative plans for the Cup coming to Grand Ledge are a parade," said Guild. "We’re thinking we’re going to take it up to the high school, probably logistically the football field makes the most sense."
Guild said it is difficult to plan dates for the events because the NHL makes a schedule for when all the players get their day with the Cup, and that has yet to be released.
Guild said throughout the whole experiences Greene has had over the past two weeks, Greene remains humble.
"He’s going to be in a t-shirt and a pair of shorts,” said Guild. “It’s very rare to catch the guy in a suit. He’s got a really good work ethic and a lot of it comes back down to his parents."
